Main purpose of the job

The Local Field Technical Veterinary ensures that scientific knowledge is translated into practical marketing tools that support sales teams and drive commercial success. This role applies scientific and technical marketing principles at a local level, ensuring that product messaging aligns with regulatory requirements and market demands.

The role requires that at least 40% of the time is spent in the field to support sales teams and customers, providing hands-on technical support and ensuring alignment with market needs.

Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities

  1. Technical & Scientific Support for local Marketing
  • Technical customer service: respond to incoming product enquiries in an efficient, knowledgeable, documented, industry compliant and courteous manner to provide an excellent level of service.
  • Adapt global technical-marketing strategies to local needs while ensuring alignment with business objectives.
  • Play an active role in preparing for, delivering and providing post-launch support to marketing campaigns.
  • Assist Pharmacovigilance by reporting and documenting cases transmitted by customers, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and internal processes.
  • Register and track technical inquiries from clients within the CRM system, providing valuable insights for continuous product and service improvement.
  • Develop and oversee the scientific communication strategy for the local portfolio according to GVP principles and evidence-based science.
  • Ensure local marketing materials accurately reflect scientific data and regulatory requirements.
  • Provide insights to tailor technical messaging to local veterinary needs.
  • Actively collaborate in the development and implementation of local marketing and sales strategies
  • Support Marketing in the design and coordination of post-marketing studies and market research projects, ensuring the generation of relevant insights to refine product positioning and commercial strategies.

2️.  Training & Field Support

  • Provide technical advice  and conduct regular training sessions for sales teams, customer service team, distributors, and key veterinary clients.
  • Spend a significant portion of time in the field, supporting commercial teams in customer interactions.
  • Deliver tailored educational programs for veterinarians and industry professionals.
  • Provide technical support at congresses, exhibitions etc

3️.  Scientific Communication & Competitive Intelligence

  • Design and develop technical content for training, brochures, presentations, and KOL engagement.
  • Develop and manage relationships with local KOL
  • Monitor and analyse new scientific publications to keep marketing strategies updated.
  • Provide local market insights on competitor activities, customer needs, and industry developments.
  • Align local technical marketing strategies with evolving regulatory standards.
  • Ensure correct scientific and technical reporting in scientific publications, abstracts and articles through writing, editing and involvement in corporate launches

4. Cross-functional exchange and internal stakeholders (e.g. quality department, Regulatory Affairs team)

  • Active interaction with relevant stakeholder and project teams within the AC group, to ensure the relevant market insights are considered in decision making.

Key Qualifications & Experience

  • Bachelor's or Master’s degree in Veterinary Medicine
  • 3-6 years of experience in technical marketing or veterinary scientific communication.
